Shōwa-ku (昭和区 shōwaku ) is one of the 16 wards of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Currently, it has the highest population density of any of the 16 wards of Nagoya City at 9,641 people per square kilometer (24,970.1 per square mile.)
In March 1989 Bandai Visual's Nagoya Branch opened in Shōwa-ku.[3]
